That was a random idea which came to my mind when I realized the following "connection":
Spike likes gemstones and Trixie has one of those on her cape.
Since nearly everything on Trixie was "fake" I'm pretty sure that her gemstone is a "fakestone" too. But nevertheless I had the idea she could use it as hypnotic pendulum to hypnotize and control others for her own purpose.
Background info: I wanted to put Rarity inside. She should have been partly covered by the tree on the right. But I had not enough space for her. You would have just seen her angry looking face and that incredible small. So I quit the idea to put her inside.
Used programs: ADOBE Illustrator + Photoshop.
