Illustrator??? That's Soo hard to use for making characters x'DD how do u even do that??
It's certainly time-consuming
The big benefit however is, that it allows you to "draw" even the smallest details sharp and clear, if you want that and are willing to put in all the time. It's a bit hard to explain so I will show it to you instead:
